Invest in the Kirkland Income Fund Using an IRA

If you are interested in investing in private credit, and want to learn about using retirement funds to do so, you've landed in the right place. Equity Institutional Services makes this process simple.

WHAT IS THE INVESTMENT PROCESS USING A RETIREMENT ACCOUNT?

IT'S A SIMPLE THREE STEP PROCESS:

STEP 1

Open the Self-Directed IRA account with Equity Institutional Services

STEP 2

Fund the account by transfer, rollover, or contribution

STEP 3

Work with a dedicated representative with Equity Trust to fund your investment

WHAT MAKES AN IRA SELF-DIRECTED?

When an IRA is referred to as a self-directed account, it simply means you can use the account to invest in areas outside of traditional stocks and bonds. That’s the primary difference between a self-directed and traditional retirement account — where you put those investment dollars.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

CALL US AT 239-333-1032 OR SEND US YOUR QUESTION BELOW.

If I like the investment and I want to use IRA money, what do I do first?

If you want to invest, you open your account and move funds from your current custodian to us. We make this process as smooth and easy as we can. Once we have the funds, you instruct us to invest on behalf of your IRA.

Can I keep my IRA where it is and buy into this offering?

No, you cannot. You need a custodian who handles self-directed IRA accounts. Brokerage houses are set up to accommodate products they know and sell.  Alternative assets like real estate fall outside of what they can accommodate because of the different procedures and documentation involved.

How much does it cost?

The unique thing about us is that we have a flat fee schedule which can be found here. In broad strokes, there is a $50 fee to open the account and an annual fee of $350.  What many investors appreciate about this fee schedule is that, as the value of the investment increases, fees remain flat whereas traditional fee schedules often take a percentage of the value of the account.
